Starting from TASHILOG GARAGE, this one-day autumn run heads via Lake Sagami and Mikage into Route 413 — the Doshi road, often called the "mecca for riders." You'll enjoy flowing, traffic-light-free curves along the clear Doshi River before climbing over Yamabushi Pass (approx. 1,100 m), the highest point of the Doshi road, down to the shores of Lake Yamanaka.
Highlights
- Doshi Road (Route 413): A fast, flowing winding road along the river valley with very few traffic signals.
- Yamabushi Pass & Tunnel: The highest point of the Doshi road, on the border of Doshi Village and Yamanakako Village, with a series of hairpin switchbacks.
- Lake Yamanaka Myojinyama Panorama-dai: A stunning viewpoint overlooking Lake Yamanaka with Mt. Fuji beyond; in autumn, golden fields of susuki pampas grass spread out.
Riding Tips
The Doshi road has narrow sections and curves where accidents are common, so avoid reckless overtaking. Gas stations are scarce, so refuel early in Sagamihara or on the Lake Yamanaka side.
