Starting from TASHILOG GARAGE in Hachioji, this rewarding half-day tour skirts Tsukui Lake on the upper Sagami River before diving into the Doshi Valley along Route 413, known to riders as the "Doshi-michi." Easily reached from the greater Tokyo area, it offers genuine winding roads along the clear Doshi River and the quiet charm of mountain villages.

Route Highlights

  • Tsukui Lake: A reservoir created by the Shiroyama Dam. Take a break at the lakeside center, browsing local vegetables and specialties.
  • Doshi-michi (Route 413): A rider-favorite ribbon of comfortable curves following the Doshi River gorge.
  • Michi-no-Eki Doshi: A roadside station with ample motorcycle parking, ideal as a rest and meeting point.
  • Ogino Pan Factory Shop: A beloved local bakery famous for freshly fried "agepan" (fried bread) for a light bite.

Best Season

From mid-October to mid-November, oak, maple, and beech turn brilliant red and gold, making the valley especially beautiful. Spring's fresh greenery is equally invigorating.
